Job summary

The Federal Fiscal Analyst (Fiscal Analyst 4) at the Department of Commerce provides professional journey-level financial review and analysis of grants, GAAP compliance, and federal requirements. Reporting to the Federal Accounting Supervisor, you manage state and federal grants and ensure accurate reporting for ACFR.

You will prepare federal reimbursements, monitor expenditures and revenue, support audits, and offer fiscal guidance to program staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with GAAP and SAAM
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to provide customer service and confidentiality
• Process improvement and problem solving experience
• Detail oriented and analytical
• Knowledge of federal programs and 2 CFR Part 200

Responsibilities

• Financial report analysis and monitoring of grants
• Assists with federal grant accounting, management, and reporting
• Maintains and reconciles subsidiary records and GL accounts
• Prepares federal and local expenditure reports and draws
• Initiates financial status reports and cash transaction reports
• Tracks program award balances and reconciliations
• Ensures AFRS data accuracy and compliance with regulations
• Supports AFRS table maintenance and related duties
