Job summary

Energy Systems Group (ESG) is seeking a Project Manager for our Federal team. This remote role requires frequent travel.

You will coordinate all aspects of project execution from estimates and energy audits through installation and service, guiding budgets, timelines, and client communications. Responsibilities include leading procurement, contracting, and vendor management, while collaborating with engineering and business development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college; 5+ years' engineering and construction-related experience.
  • Experience managing construction projects with contract values over $5 million.
  • Proficiency with scheduling, spreadsheets (Excel, Word), cost control, and project management software; MS Project, Procore preferred.
  • Exposure to ESPC/UESC or other energy-related performance contracting project development.
  • Experience directing project teams; developing schedules and budgets.
  • Knowledge of EM-385, CQM (USACE), OSHA, and federal/state safety regulations.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification and First Aid certifications.
  • Obtain clearances to work at military and other critical government facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate estimates and pricing with Project Procurement Manager(s) to align with project goals.
  • Understand client contract with ESG; manage safety, site rules, and terms and conditions.
  • Lead scoping, pricing, and negotiating change orders during delivery.
  • Maintain client contact to schedule and coordinate work; communicate progress, costs, and training.
  • Assist in obtaining quotes from trade contractors, equipment suppliers, and vendors.
  • Lead project team in selecting contractors and vendors; assist in issuing contracts.
  • Develop contracting strategies, bid documents, and contract administration; oversee 3rd-party contracts.
  • Maintain project schedule and ensure on-time arrival of all equipment and supplies.
