Dahl Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a national retailer for a Food Science Labeling Coordinator which is a 12-month contract. This remote role supports review, approval, and management of labeling content and packaging artwork to ensure FDA compliance across product specs.

You will collaborate with internal partners and suppliers, evaluate Nutrition Facts panels and allergen declarations, and coordinate revisions to meet deadlines in a fast-paced CPG environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, Life Sciences, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands-on experience reviewing and approving product specifications and labels for FDA-regulated packaged food products.
• Strong knowledge of FDA food labeling requirements, including Nutrition Facts labeling, ingredient declarations, allergen statements, nutrient content claims, and required labeling elements.
• Experience identifying labeling compliance issues, determining corrective actions, and documenting approval decisions.
• Background working with food manufacturers, retailers, or private-label food programs.
• Ability to manage multiple labeling and specification review projects in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting regulatory findings and changes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint, and other systems used for tracking specifications, approvals, and compliance activities.

Mansioni

• Independently review and approve product specifications, food labeling information, and packaging artwork for assigned products and categories.
• Evaluate Nutrition Facts panels, ingredient statements, allergen declarations, nutrient content claims, and other required labeling elements for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Review packaging proofs and keylines to verify alignment between approved specifications, regulatory requirements, and final packaging artwork.
• Identify labeling discrepancies and compliance issues, document necessary corrections, and communicate actionable feedback to stakeholders and supplier partners.
• Coordinate labeling revisions, approvals, and open regulatory questions across multiple projects while meeting established deadlines.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to facilitate timely product launches and packaging updates.
• Apply sound regulatory judgment and escalates complex or ambiguous compliance issues when necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of reviews, approvals, and corrective actions using business systems and reporting tools.
