Job summary

Scion Legal Staffing seeks an experienced Family Law Attorney in New Jersey to own a diverse caseload with autonomy and dedicated paralegal support. The role offers a primarily remote work arrangement and opportunities for growth within a collaborative, respected firm.

You will manage matters from inception through resolution, with strong courtroom advocacy, research, and writing skills, while maintaining responsive client service and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active New Jersey Bar admission.
• Approximately 5-10 years of family law experience preferred.
• Ability to independently manage matters from inception through resolution with minimal supervision.
• Experience handling divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, alimony and related disputes.
• Strong courtroom advocacy, negotiation, legal research, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a family law caseload from intake through settlement, trial, or other resolution.
• Develop case strategies and advise clients on options, risks, and outcomes.
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, negotiations, and trials.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements and other documents.
• Conduct research applying New Jersey statutes, court rules, and case law.
