Job summary

SouthStar Capital is seeking an experienced Factoring Business Development Officer (BDO) to drive growth and expand our presence across designated markets. This role focuses on originating new client relationships, nurturing COIs, and promoting B2B factoring solutions to small and mid-sized businesses nationwide.

This senior sales role offers autonomy, access to executive leadership, and a pathway to shape the factoring practice while contributing to long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of factoring business development experience selling to small and mid-sized businesses.
• Established and active network of COIs, clients, and prospects within target markets.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings, networking events, and industry conferences.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development efforts within assigned geographic market and COIs nationwide.
• Develop and expand B2B client relationships benefiting from factoring solutions.
• Grow and cultivate COI networks with accountants, bankers, attorneys, and industry partners.
• Prospect and make sales calls to secure new factoring opportunities.
• Represent SouthStar at community events, associations, and networking events.
• Prepare and deliver new business memos and proposals for prospective clients.
• Collaborate with credit, operations, and underwriting teams for onboarding and satisfaction.
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales quotas related to factored purchases.
• Build and maintain a sustainable pipeline for long‑term growth.
• Prepare professional memos, proposals, and client presentations.
