Job summary

Curana Health is seeking a Credentialing Specialist for Facilities to ensure provider networks meet credentialing and regulatory standards. This remote-friendly role focuses on primary source verification, license checks, and ongoing compliance across a broad network.

You will communicate with facilities, maintain credentialing records, and support the contracting team while managing a high-volume workload under established timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience reviewing accreditation, regulatory, and compliance requirements for healthcare facilities preferred.
• Familiarity with NCQA, CMS, or other health plan credentialing standards preferred.
• Additional healthcare credentialing experience or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Credentialing Review & Evaluation: Review facility credentialing applications for accuracy and completeness; perform primary source verification and other required reviews.
• Communication: Contact facilities to resolve discrepancies and obtain missing information.
• Data Entry & Management: Enter and maintain facility information in credentialing systems.
• Recredentialing & Follow-Up: Manage recredentialing applications and timelines.
• Monitoring & Compliance: Track license/DEA/accreditations; prepare monthly reports for Credentialing Committee.
• Sanctions & Exclusions Review: Check sanctions/exclusions for facilities.
• Reporting & Documentation: Generate credentialing reports and notify relevant teams.
• Support & Collaboration: Provide credentialing support to contracting and other teams.
• Workload & Productivity: Handle high-volume workload with accuracy and timeliness.
