Job summary

Colliers International is seeking a Technical Advisor to provide expert consulting and support for restaurant equipment, focusing on commercial cooking, refrigeration, HVAC, and control systems. The role involves defining root causes for equipment issues and improving asset performance across multiple locations.

You will read manuals, mentor teams, and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders, while traveling up to half the year to client sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Industry certifications CFESA or EPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and systems.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and water treatment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand equipment service manuals, schematics, and specifications.
• Communicate with restaurant operators, internal departments, and external vendors.
• Provide technical leadership and stakeholder support, including training.
• Coach restaurant support teams on kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with manufacturers to define root causes with trending issues.
• Transmit complex technical information to non-technical audiences clearly.
• Develop knowledge of restaurant equipment and building systems as a whole.
• Understand equipment and building as an integrated system.
