Job summary

P&E Constructors, LLC is seeking a Fabrication Estimator to support proposal development for heavy industrial projects. Under a Senior Estimator, you will prepare quantity takeoffs, review BOMs/BOQs, evaluate supplier pricing, and assist with estimate turnover and change orders.

You'll work remotely from the United States and collaborate with estimating staff to ensure technically compliant, competitive bids while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5-15 years' experience estimating heavy industrial, energy, infrastructure, data centers, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, or oil & gas projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficient with Bluebeam and related estimating tools.
• Strong understanding of WBS, AWP, CWA, FIWP and their application to estimating and scheduling.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Good time management with ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong technical writing and editing abilities.
• Ability to exercise sound estimating judgment when project documentation is incomplete or unclear.
• Ability to prepare detailed RFIs to resolve inconsistencies in RFPs.
• Understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and constructability.

Responsibilities

• Support proposal development under the direction of a Senior Lead Estimator.
• Review RFP packages, scope, deliverables, and estimating requirements.
• Develop accurate quantity takeoffs to support project estimates.
• Review and approve BOMs and BOQs prepared by Estimating Support Staff.
• Evaluate material and subcontractor bid tabs and approve supplier pricing.
• Participate in estimate reviews and validation meetings.
• Assist with bid forms and proposal documentation.
• Support estimate turnover after project award and change orders.
