Job summary

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Experience eliciting requirements from K-12 state agencies in high-stakes environments.
• Experience managing large-scale educational assessment projects, products, and services.
• Knowledge of the software lifecycle and development process.
• Ability to translate complex information into written content for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight and strategic direction for the organization's products and tools.
• Lead project management, applications & software development, and product teams.
• Guide requirements gathering to keep Smarter Balanced at the forefront of educational assessment.
• Make recommendations to leadership and implement decisions impacting the organization.
• Ensure transparent project management, development pipelines, testing, and production.
• Collaborate with executives to pursue innovation in assessment products and processes.

Education

Advanced degree in related area or equivalent experience / training

Advanced experience eliciting requirements from K-12 state agencies

Advanced experience in project management strategies for large-scale educational projects

Proficient knowledge of the software lifecycle and development process

Experience in leading change management activities

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to translate complex information into written content
