Job summary

Ankura seeks a Managing Director to lead its Enterprise Data Platform capabilities. This senior leader will shape strategy, drive client relationships, and oversee delivery across multiple engagements in a remote-capable role in the US.

You will guide architecture choices, develop reusable delivery assets, and build high-performing teams while expanding revenue opportunities. Travel up to 20–25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Typically 12–15+ years of experience in data engineering, enterprise data architecture, analytics, or related technology consulting, including senior leadership.
• Proven experience leading design and delivery of enterprise-grade cloud data platforms and large-scale data transformation programs.
• Established record of developing executive client relationships, originating opportunities, and converting them into engagements.
• Strong understanding of ETL, ELT, and orchestration technologies (Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Informatica).
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and similar data platforms in real-world deployments.
• Willingness to travel up to 20–25% including potential international travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, development, and growth of Ankura’s Enterprise Data Platform capabilities.
• Establish technical vision, reference architectures, delivery methodologies, and engineering standards for cloud-based data platforms.
• Provide executive oversight of enterprise data platform design across multiple clients and engagements.
• Guide data orchestration and integration strategies using Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Informatica, and similar tools.
• Oversee engagements to ensure scope, staffing, governance, and client objectives are met.
• Build and develop multidisciplinary data teams and promote collaboration across analytics, automation, and AI.
