CVS Health is seeking an Executive Director of Architecture to lead a team driving broad technical initiatives across CVS Health portfolios — all in pursuit of a unified set of technology capabilities.

We're hunting for a rare species: an architecture leader who thinks in systems but dreams in possibilities. You’ll influence senior executives and translate complex tradeoffs into strategic business outcomes, while fostering real collaboration across domains.

Qualifications

• 15+ years as a software developer/architect with leadership experience.
• Experience leading large architecture initiatives across multiple value streams.
• Ability to influence senior executives and translate tech detail to business outcomes.
• Experience leading leaders, including senior architects and managers, and developing talent.
• Strong collaboration, negotiation, coaching, and coalition-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures across multiple domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape enterprise architecture initiatives across the portfolio.
• Build real relationships and collaboration across teams.
• Help set the architectural strategic direction for CVS Health.
• Lead and develop a team of senior architects and architecture leaders.
• Help build CVS Health's reference architecture reflecting real-world practices.
• Identify right technology partnerships.
• Serve as a trusted technical voice to senior executives translating decisions into business impact.
