CVS Health is seeking an Executive Director of Architecture to lead a team delivering broad technical initiatives across CVS Health portfolios, pursuing unified technology capabilities.

We want a systems thinker who translates complex tradeoffs into business outcomes for executives and guides senior architects across the enterprise. This role can be remote from anywhere in the continental USA.

Qualifications

• 15+ years as a software developer/architect (20+ preferred).
• Leading large architectural initiatives across a large enterprise.
• Expertise across multiple technical domains.
• Ability to influence senior executives around technology strategy.
• Experience leading senior architects and architecture managers.
• Strong collaboration, negotiation, coaching, and coalition-building.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape technical architecture initiatives spanning the enterprise portfolio.
• Build real relationships and collaboration across teams.
• Help set architectural strategic direction for CVS Health.
• Lead and guide a team of senior architects and leaders.
• Help build CVS Health's reference architecture reflecting reality.
• Identify right technology partnerships with an architectural eye.
• Serve as a trusted technical voice to senior executives translating complex decisions.
