Job summary

Second Front Systems seeks a Solutions Engineer to bridge engineering, mission needs, and government customers across the EU. You will qualify opportunities, craft credible architectures for cloud, identity, and data residency, and run demonstrations to move opportunities to close.

You will address security, sovereignty, and deployment constraints, while collaborating with partners, RFI/RFPs, and field teams to ensure feasible, timely go‑to‑market plans.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical customer-facing role such as solutions engineering or pre-sales.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with containers, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, networking, IAM, and APIs.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Own technical discovery and qualification for EMEA opportunities across application, infrastructure, security, integration, and deployment fit.
• Develop architectures covering cloud, networking, identity, data residency, sovereignty, and security.
• Deliver demonstrations, run proofs of value, and support evaluations for software vendors and government customers.
• Identify blockers, dependencies, product gaps, and delivery assumptions before commitments.
• Support RFI/RFP responses and represent Second Front at customer workshops and events.
• Build reusable demos, reference architectures, and discovery materials with clear notes on opportunities.
• Ensure clean handoffs to Platform Engineering and delivery teams after close.
• Collaborate with Commercial team and Head of EMEA through qualification, proposal, and procurement.
• Translate accreditation and security requirements into deployment schedules with engineering alignment.
• Align roadmaps with regional needs and certification frameworks (NATO, UK MOD, etc.).
• Broker resolution of technical feasibility conflicts to avoid go-live delays.
