Job summary

Construction Estimator is seeking an experienced professional to join our remote estimating team. The role focuses on takeoffs, bid preparation, and coordinating with subcontractors to deliver complex bids from plans through submission.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in heavy civil/earthwork and asphalt/paving estimating, fluency in English, and proficiency with Bluebeam or Heavy Bid. Remote work in the US ET zone is supported.

Responsibilities

• Perform takeoffs and bid preparation from plans and specifications.
• Handle RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and revisions.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors—including persistent follow-up to meet bid deadlines.
• Manage pre-construction support and site coordination documentation.
• Use Bluebeam, WinX Grade, and Heavy Bid (or similar estimating software).
• Review complex public bid packages with detailed specs to ensure compliance.
• Self-perform cost analysis for heavy civil and asphalt paving scopes.
• Support site visits or provide effective onsite communication (with client support for site visits when remote).

Client: Construction Estimator
Location: Remote
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Time Zone: Eastern Time (ET)
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
Compensation: $1,500–$2,500 USD/month, depending on experience

The company is expanding its bidding capacity and is looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join its team. This is an opportunity to work closely with an established estimating team and take ownership of complex bids from plans and specifications through submission.

What They'll Do

• Excellent communication skills for subcontractor coordination

• Detail-oriented with ability to manage complex bid packages and specifications

• Proactive problem-solver comfortable with high-volume, time-sensitive bidding
