Job summary

Kerkering Barberio is seeking a Tax Supervisor for the Estate & Trust team in the Sarasota area. The role focuses on estate, trust, gift, and related individual tax engagements with supervisory responsibilities over concurrent engagements.

The position requires strong technical knowledge, professional judgment, and the ability to meet deadlines and budgets, with opportunities for career advancement and professional development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
CPA preferred or strong progression towards CPA.
Minimum 5 years of progressive public accounting experience focusing on estate, trust, gift, and high-net-worth taxation.

Responsibilities

Perform and supervise broad estate, trust, gift, and individual tax engagements.
Prepare and review Form 1041, 706, 709, and related fiduciary reporting.
Supervise staff, plan engagements, and manage time and budget constraints.
Communicate with clients and professionals to facilitate tax planning and compliance.
Identify tax-planning opportunities and contribute to firm growth.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting
