Job summary

Veritas Legal Recruiting & Advising seeks a sophisticated NY and/or NJ-barred trusts and estates attorney for a newly formed, remote role serving high-net-worth clients with complex estate planning. No billable hour requirement; competitive base and bonus.

The role partners with advisors and clients to craft and implement sophisticated estate planning strategies, reviews documents for HNW/UHNW individuals, and guides engagements from intake to execution while adapting to evolving regulations.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school is required.
7+ years of experience in trusts and estates, supporting HNW/UHNW clients.
Strong communication, analytical, and leadership abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Responsibilities

Conduct client engagement meetings to assess needs and craft estate plans.
Review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and directives for high-net-worth clients.
Oversee engagements from intake through drafting and implementation.
Educate clients and advisors on estate planning matters and tax implications.
Collaborate with outside counsel on multistate planning matters.
Monitor regulatory changes and update templates accordingly.
