Job summary

Slang is hiring remote English teachers to deliver engaging online classes to adults across a range of levels, from Pre-A1 to B2. You’ll work with content provided by our instructional design team and track student progress using standardized documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree or TESOL/TEFL certification, with strong grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation skills. Experience in English teaching and using Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages or related fields and/or TESOL, TEFL, or similar certificates.
• Strong command of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, with adaptability to different learner populations.
• Experience in English Teaching.
• Basic skills in conducting speaking assessments to evaluate oral communication skills, including fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and coherence.
• Ability to provide personalized feedback tailored to individual student needs and proficiency levels.
• Proficiency in using technology and digital tools for instruction, including virtual teaching platforms, learning management systems, and digital resources (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, G Suite).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive online classes across various subjects, utilizing the class content provided by the instructional design team.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student progress documents to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their progress, assignments, and class participation.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation and student engagement.
• Attend training sessions to enhance teaching skills and ensure effective implementation of instructional strategies.
