Job summary

Opendoor is seeking an Escrow Closer to support nationwide refinance transactions. You will manage the escrow closing process, ensuring lender instructions, title insurance requirements, and deadlines are met while serving as the single point of contact for borrowers, loan officers, processors, and other parties.

You will prepare closing documents and secure all items needed for title insurance issuance, with emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Must be located in MD or WA.
• Experience in the title and escrow industry.
• Excellent customer service skills with borrowers, loan officers, processors, and underwriters.
• Familiarity with refinance transactions and requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the escrow process and mortgage lending regulations.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage real estate closing transactions with independent judgment.
• Cure title per contract and lender instructions; ensure title insurance.
• Prepare closing documents for title insurance issuance.
• Secure all documents required for title insurance issuance.
• Serve as single point of contact for borrowers, loan officers, processors, and others.
• Assist customers with closing-related questions.
• Verify funds, signatures, and legal descriptions before disbursement/recording.
• Ensure taxes, HOA dues, and delinquencies are collected and disbursements are correct.
• Verify closing disclosures and lien information prior to recording.
• Develop and maintain client relationships for future closings.
