Job summary

IQVIA is seeking an Epidemiologist to support a sponsor-dedicated inflammation program in the United States. You will independently execute real-world evidence work and develop high-quality protocols, reports, and deliverables for phases 1–3.

You will work closely with one sponsor, applying rigorous observational methods, writing strong scientific documents, and communicating results to stakeholders across functions in a remote/homer-based setting.

Qualifications

• PhD in Epidemiology is required.
• Experience applying epidemiology and real-world evidence to Phase 1-3 programs.
• Prior pharmaceutical industry experience is required.
• Knowledge of regulatory-grade real-world evidence expectations and rigorous observational methods.
• Epidemiology experience in inflammation or a related area.
• Experience using real-world data for natural history, landscapes, and feasibility work.
• Experience developing study protocols, clinical study reports, and related deliverables.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong writing, analytical, project management, and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute epidemiology and real-world evidence activities for inflammation programs in early development (Phases 1-3).
• Describe disease natural history and inflammation landscapes using real-world data.
• Perform feasibility assessments on data, populations, endpoints, and approaches.
• Develop study protocols, analysis plans, and study reports.
• Support regulatory-grade real-world evidence studies with proper documentation.
• Translate research objectives into clear, timely deliverables with hands-on execution.
• Interpret findings and clearly communicate methods, assumptions, limitations, and results to sponsors.
• Proactively manage work and resolve execution issues with limited supervision.
• Collaborate with sponsor teams across functions and time zones.
