Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum is hiring an Epic Professional Billing Claims Analyst to support Resolute Professional Billing Claims, reimbursement optimization, and revenue cycle transformation. You will partner with operations, IT, and client teams to ensure accurate claim submissions and timely payments, with remote work available nationwide.

The role requires Epic certification, 4+ years of healthcare and Epic analyst experience, plus MS Excel/Visio/PowerPoint/SharePoint proficiency.

Qualifications

• Active / current Epic certification in Resolute Professional Billing Claims
• 4+ years of healthcare experience
• 4+ years of Epic analyst experience with function and build experience
• 4+ years of knowledge of revenue cycle metrics, KPIs, and process improvement techniques
• 3+ years of Direct client healthcare domain knowledge such as billing, payment posting, self-pay/insurance follow up, denial management, customer service or vendor management

Responsibilities

• Working on Professional Billing Claims configuration changes and builds
• Translate user requirements into functional and technical design specifications
• Serve as a mentor/subject matter expert to client-based team members
• Lead medium to large Epic software upgrade initiatives or enhancements
• Participate in design and validation sessions with documentation and issue escalation
• Function as a liaison between Operations, IT and third-party systems
• Provide support of application incidents including 24/7 on-call coverage
• Provide on-site support during go-lives and system upgrades
• Acquire knowledge of software functionality and operational workflows
• Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection and reports
• Work with trainers to develop training curricula and materials
• Adhere to change control and organization standards
• Develop relationships with end user communities and partners
• Attend and contribute to meetings across the facility
