Veolia in North America is seeking a Hazardous Waste Technician in Glencoe, Alabama, for a full-time role focused on consolidating, treating, storing and disposing of hazardous waste in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and maintaining regulatory documentation, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth. Local on-site work with potential remote components as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds
• Stand and walk on uneven surfaces
• Read labels and documentation
• Depth perception to safely drive forklifts
• Hearing vehicle alarms
• Work outdoors/in non-climate-controlled conditions
• Wear PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, respirator

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, and dispose of hazardous waste following compliant practices and policies.
• Operate forklifts and mobile equipment to move containers and maintain accurate regulatory documentation
