Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking Environmental Technicians to join our team. You will consolidate, treat, store, transport and/or dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible practices, while learning environmental regulations.

This physically active role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, operating forklifts, and completing documentation accurately and timely. The position supports operations across outdoor and indoor work environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
• Visual acuity to read labels; depth perception to operate forklifts.
• Hearing vehicle warning chimes and alarms.
• Work outdoors in all climates and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Wear PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls and respirator.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, transport, and/or dispose of hazardous waste per regulations.
• Learn environmental regulations and safe handling practices.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Operate forklifts and assist with material handling.
• Physically active duties including lifting up to 50 pounds.
