Job summary

Remote Co. seeks an experienced environmental professional to join our Anchorage team, supporting field characterization, monitoring, and remediation projects across Alaska. This full-time role blends on-site fieldwork with telecommuting options as needed.

You’ll operate in a multi-level environment (Levels II–Senior), conduct field sampling, coordinate subcontractors, prepare technical work plans and reports, and ensure safety and compliance on diverse field sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical/Environmental Sciences or related field.
• US citizenship is required.
• Ability to pass background checks for DoD/DHS/FAA, etc.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong MS Office knowledge.
• 3–7+ years of relevant experience or MS may substitute.
• 8+ years of relevant experience optional for senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Conducting contaminated site characterization, monitoring, and remediation field assessments safely and in accordance with work plans.
• Traveling by aircraft, vehicles, ATVs, and watercraft for fieldwork, site visits, or meetings.
• Field screening and sampling for contaminants in various media per SOPs and regulations.
• Documenting field operations with notes, photos, and tablets; communicating with project managers.
• Inspecting work progress and equipment to ensure safety and compliance with specs.
• Scheduling and overseeing subcontractors.
• Adhering to schedule and financial objectives set by project managers.
• Assisting or leading preparation of proposals, planning documents, and reports.
• Authoring and reviewing technical documents such as work plans and reports.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.
