Job summary

Paragon Professional Services is seeking a Project Manager for remote work in the United States. The role focuses on overseeing government and contracted projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years of environmental or engineering project management experience, including federal contracts. Experience with USACE, DoD, EPA, and related agencies is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biology, Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum of ten years of experience managing environmental or engineering projects.
• Experience managing projects for federal agencies (USACE, DoD, Air Force, Navy, DOE, EPA) or other federal clients.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and subcontractors.
• Experience preparing cost proposals, budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables.
• Knowledge of environmental investigation, remediation, compliance, and restoration projects.
• Strong understanding of federal contracting requirements and project execution.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to federal facilities and project sites.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for government PMs, KO, COR and other stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects with planning, scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and staffing plans.
• Coordinate technical staff, field personnel, and subcontractors for project execution.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, performance, schedule, budget, and compliance.
• Oversee daily contract operations to ensure safe and compliant work.
• Monitor performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and cost analysis.
• Review and approve technical reports, work plans, and proposals.
• Facilitate project meetings and mentor staff for growth.
