Job summary

EnSafe seeks an Environmental Project Engineer to support remediation design, O&M, and monitoring for sites in Michigan and beyond. This remote role can be based in Ann Arbor, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Battle Creek, Clare, or other Michigan cities and involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires 3–10 years of experience, a Civil/Chemical/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering degree from ABET‑accredited programs, and OSHA HAZWOPER certification; EIT/PE is

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering from ABET‑accredited institution.
• Between 3‑10 years of experience.
• E.I.T or P.E. license preferred.
• 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• Michigan EGLE Waste Treatment Plant Operator certifications or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage O&M of remedial systems and data collection.
• Oversee subcontractors and field operations.
• Design/remediate soil, groundwater, and vapor contamination systems.
• Prepare feasibility studies, remedial action plans and cost estimates.
• Lead pilot studies and field testing for contaminants.
• Write and review technical reports and inspections.
• Coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies.
