Job summary

Gradient, a Geosyntec Company, is seeking an Environmental Epidemiologist to conduct epidemiology analyses for human health risk. The candidate will work independently and with scientists from toxicology, exposure science and risk assessment, and may work fully remote from a home office in Washington, DC while supporting our Boston, MA operations.

The role includes leading projects on occupational health, regulatory comments, product safety assessments and site-specific risk assessment;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science; epidemiology or related field preferred (required).
• Advanced degree in epidemiology (MS/PhD) preferred.
• 7+ years related experience; strong written and oral communication; statistical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects involving occupational health, regulatory comment, product safety assessments and site-specific human health risk assessment.
• Qualitatively and quantitatively assess exposure and human health risks from chemicals in the environment and consumer products.
• Perform analyses including systematic reviews, weight-of-evidence reviews, hazard assessments, and preparing tables.
• Conduct literature searches and critically review and evaluate epidemiology and exposure studies.
• Contribute to and oversee the preparation of deliverables (reports, memoranda, proposals, agency comments).
• Manage and contribute to projects of varying scopes and complexity, demonstrating leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
