Job summary

Arclin USA LLC is seeking an Environmental Engineer – Water & Waste Compliance to join our Corporate Environmental team. This remote role supports manufacturing facilities across North America and internationally, providing expert guidance on water and waste compliance, permitting, and regulatory requirements.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s in a STEM field and 7+ years of related experience; PE license preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related STEM field.
7+ years of environmental engineering, water/wastewater compliance, or related experience.
Strong knowledge of wastewater, stormwater, and waste regulations and permitting.
Experience with NPDES, POTW, and stormwater programs.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Willingness to travel ~50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Serve as a corporate expert for water discharge and waste disposal compliance.
Develop and maintain water and waste compliance programs across facilities.
Interpret and communicate regulations across global operations.
Support wastewater permitting activities (NPDES, POTW, stormwater).
Provide guidance on wastewater discharge, monitoring, and testing.
Lead or support stormwater compliance activities and SWPPP implementation.
Review wastewater data, calculations, and recordkeeping.
Guide hazardous and non-hazardous waste management and regulatory records.
Support waste minimization, recycling, and environmental sustainability initiatives.
Conduct environmental audits to identify risks and improvements.
Assist investigations of compliance issues and incidents.
Develop corporate environmental standards and training on water and waste compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process changes affecting water/waste.
Monitor emerging regulations and communicate business impacts.
Mentor EHS professionals on water and waste matters.
Travel as required.
