Job summary

VivSoft Technologies is seeking an Entry Level Software Engineer to join the DoD-focused team. You will contribute under supervision to building and sustaining mission-critical software in a cloud-native DevSecOps environment.

Ideal candidates have a CS degree or equivalent, 0–2 years in software development, and a willingness to learn new tools, languages, and cloud platforms. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a federal clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant software development experience.
• Foundational programming knowledge.
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to work effectively under supervision as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supports design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation activities under supervision.
• Assists in translating project requirements into working software components.
• Follows established Agile methodologies and principles for software development.
• Participates in code reviews and applies feedback to improve quality and functionality.
• Helps identify and resolve basic technical issues and defects under supervision.
• Documents work performed and contributes to technical documentation.
• Communicates status, questions, and blockers to supervisors and team members in a timely manner.
