Mutual of Omaha Insurance Co. is seeking a Risk Consultant to partner with business leaders across the organization to identify, assess, and manage risks that could impact the company’s success.

You’ll help embed strong risk practices into business processes while offering practical guidance on operational, financial, regulatory, and technology-related risks. In this highly visible role, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to strengthen controls, improve processes, leverage data

Qualifications

• 3+ years in financial services, insurance, or related industry, including 2+ years in Enterprise Risk, Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, Actuarial, or similar function.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, internal controls, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and collaborate across all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate operational, financial, regulatory, technology, and strategic risks.
• Lead risk management activities within the company's GRC framework and support internal/external audits.
• Analyze risk data, trends, and KRIs; communicate findings clearly to leaders and stakeholders.
• Drive risk-related projects, process improvements, training initiatives, and automation opportunities.
• Monitor regulatory changes and industry developments to advise on compliance.
