SupplyHouse is seeking a Principal Data Architect to shape enterprise data strategy and drive scalable, secure data products. This remote role partners with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure data is governed, reliable, and positioned as a competitive advantage.

The role requires 10+ years in data engineering/architecture, 5+ years in enterprise cloud architectures, and deep expertise in data warehousing, lakehouse, and data governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in Data Engineering, Architecture, or Platform Engineering.
• 5+ years designing enterprise-scale cloud data architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Expertise in data warehousing, lakehouse, and domain-driven design.
• Strong governance, metadata management, and security understanding.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines into BigQuery for core domains.
• Create orchestration patterns with retries, SLAs, and incident response.
• Implement data quality, testing, monitoring, and observability frameworks.
• Standardize CI/CD and IaC for data systems and best practices.
• Lead modernization like cloud lakehouse migrations and platform upgrades.
• Own analytics-ready datasets and semantic data models for fast reporting.
• Define data modeling standards and governance across domains.
• Lead data architecture decisions for warehousing, lakehouse, and MDM.
• Collaborate on data contracts and reliable upstream/downstream integrations.
• Drive real-time analytics and AI-enabled data capabilities.
