Job summary

Electric Power Engineers, LLC seeks a Principal Data Architect to define and guide the enterprise data architecture foundation, partnering across Software, Analytics, Finance, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and business teams to create scalable data patterns and trusted data.

Reporting to the CIO, this hands-on leadership role influences delivery teams, sets governance standards, and shapes data platforms to support reporting, automation, and AI readiness while ensuring security and reliability

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data architecture, data engineering, or related technology roles.
• Experience designing enterprise data models and integration patterns.
• Experience with cloud data ecosystems and modern data platforms.
• Ability to work across software, analytics, infrastructure, cybersecurity and business teams.
• Experience enabling analytics, automation, and AI use cases through governed data patterns.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise data architecture standards including lakehouse and data warehouse patterns.
• Develop canonical data models, data domains, and semantic definitions across enterprise systems.
• Lead data integration strategies across ERP, CRM, HR, finance, and operations.
• Establish data governance, metadata, lineage, quality, and security practices.
• Design AI-ready data enablement patterns and ensure secure, auditable access to data.
• Provide cross-functional leadership and influence delivery teams on data architecture decisions.
• Contribute to the roadmap for the future enterprise data platform and data team structure.
