Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design, governance, and modernization of enterprise infrastructure across large IT environments. You will define current, transition, and future-state architectures, balancing business goals with security, performance, and cost considerations.

Qualifications

• 16+ years in enterprise infrastructure architecture, solution architecture, or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience governing large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong expertise in data center technologies, databases, storage, backup, and modernization.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain current-state, transition-state, and target-state architectures.
• Develop and govern architecture principles, standards, and roadmaps for data center, storage, and DR.
• Lead architecture assessments and reviews for cloud adoption, modernization, migration, and lifecycle management.
• Evaluate solutions with regard to scale, performance, security, availability, and cost.
• Ensure designs meet resilience, continuity, capacity planning, compliance, risk, and cybersecurity needs.
• Drive technology selection, vendor evaluations, and proof-of-concept activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architecture alignment and governance.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation and decision records.
• Provide senior technical leadership during incidents and major upgrades.
• Identify opportunities for standardization and automation across the organization.
