Job summary

Optum is seeking an experienced Architect to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. You will define and drive architectural vision, develop enterprise blueprints, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions aligned with business goals.

You will translate complex requirements into technical specifications, oversee integrations, and ensure compliance with standards and regulations. This role emphasizes mentorship and continuous improvement within the architecture

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
8+ years in enterprise/solution architecture, system design, and software development.
2+ years leading large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.
2+ years experience with cloud platforms and healthcare domain knowledge.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define and drive architectural vision.
Develop and maintain architecture blueprints for enterprise systems.
Lead cross-functional teams to implement scalable, secure solutions.
Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and docs.
Design and oversee integration strategies between systems and third-party services.
Provide mentorship to junior architects and development teams.
