Job summary

Lighthouse Technology Services is seeking an Enterprise Application Engineer for our client. This contract role is remote in the United States and is expected to last 6+ months as a W2 position with Lighthouse as the employer.

You will design and develop new financial applications using .NET/C#, Java, and cloud-ready architectures. You’ll mentor a small team, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and optimize OpenShift deployments alongside MS SQL Server databases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems analysis and application development experience with strong .Net and C# expertise.
• Solid Java development skills across polyglot codebases.
• Experience with OpenShift, CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong proficiency with MS SQL Server and relational database design.
• Experience in Agile Scrum software delivery.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Banking or financial services background with knowledge of payment systems preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with multitasking across complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new applications using .Net/C#, and Java.
• Build and ship features in an Agile Scrum environment with a team of 5-6 developers.
• Contribute to technical architecture decisions and cloud/CI/CD implementations.
• Lead and mentor engineers on complex projects and coordinate development tasks.
• Collaborate with business units to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Perform systems analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging for financial apps.
• Prepare and maintain technical project plans and documentation.
• Maintain and optimize OpenShift deployments with MS SQL Server databases.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve delivery speed and effectiveness.
• Support production systems and troubleshoot advanced issues.
