DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking an API Platform Lead to oversee the enterprise API strategy, lifecycle governance, and modernization efforts across a DoD-aligned mission environment. The role owns the API roadmap, prioritizes features, and ensures architecture aligns with security and enterprise needs.

The position requires collaboration with engineering, cybersecurity, cloud architecture, and product management to keep APIs secure, scalable, and highly discoverable for enterprise

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering, API development, or integration architecture.
• Experience with DoD/federal cybersecurity requirements and secure API design.

Responsibilities

• Govern API lifecycle management including design, versioning, publishing, deprecation, and retirement.
• Manage the enterprise API catalog with metadata and documentation.
• Establish API standards for design guidelines, authentication models, naming conventions, and schema patterns.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity to ensure compliance with DoD controls and secure coding practices.
• Coordinate with developers for consistent endpoints, integration flows, and data exchange patterns.
• Lead impact assessments for breaking changes, migrations, and version updates.
