Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Cloud / AI Architect for an all-remote, contract role. You will lead architecture and implementation of enterprise AI, build production AI pipelines on AWS Agent Core, and design RAG systems to support scalable knowledge retrieval across platforms.

You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, guide definitions of standards, and drive AI-driven process improvements. A strong background in cloud architectures and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, software engineering, data platforms, or related technical fields.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise AI/ML solutions at scale.
• Hands-on with AWS Agent Core and AI frameworks.
• Experience designing RAG architectures for enterprise use.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Experience evaluating cloud-native AI solutions across AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering.
• Experience integrating AI with enterprise APIs and data ecosystems.
• Prior experience in Architect/Principal Engineer or similar leadership role.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale Agentic AI solutions and intelligent workflows.
• Build POC and production AI pipelines using AWS Agent Core and modern architectures.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks for scalable knowledge retrieval.
• Define standards and best practices for AI agents, workflows, vector search, and data integration.
• Evaluate cloud platform strategies across AWS, GCP, and other AI tech.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Provide technical leadership while hands-on prototyping and pipeline development.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify AI-driven optimization opportunities.
• Communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
