Job summary

Connections Education LLC is seeking an Adjunct English Teacher to support state-certified virtual instruction from a home office within the United States. This part-time role focuses on delivering a robust English program to students nationwide via online platforms and flexible schedules.

The position requires current Secondary English certification (TX/WI/MI/PA/OH) or ability to obtain it, completion of a traditional teacher preparation program, and commitment to timely feedback and student

Qualifications

• Must be certified in Secondary English (TX, WI, MI, PA, OH) or able to obtain certification.
• Completed traditional teacher preparation program at an accredited college or university.
• Ability to obtain certification in other states as requested.
• Provide timely feedback to students and grade assessments within required timeframe.
• Attend check-in meetings with supervisor twice per month.

Responsibilities

• Support the instructional program with synchronous and asynchronous web conferencing sessions using ClassZoom.
• Complete all grading with prompt, high-quality, personalized feedback on assignments.
• Communicate with students and other teachers regularly to update pacing plans/schedules.
• Use data to monitor progress and facilitate appropriate interactions with students.
• Review curriculum and modify for accommodations through IEPs or 504 plans.
• Collaborate with team members to develop enrichment activities and differentiation.
• Develop knowledge of curriculum and courses you are responsible for.
• Communicate with students via phone, chat and webmail systems.
• Adhere to FERPA and privacy laws when handling student information.
• Keep student performance data up-to-date by timely grading and logging contacts.
• Hold regular office hours (minimum 3 hours per week).
• Utilize multiple tools to build relationships and promote student success online.
• Foster a welcoming online voice for students and families.
• Other duties as assigned.
