Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking experienced Engineering Technical Problem Authors to contribute to AI-driven engineering projects. You will create and evaluate challenging real-world problems and assess AI-generated responses for accuracy, rigor, and practical relevance.

Your engineering judgment will guide how AI systems reason through complex problems, apply engineering principles, and communicate technically sound solutions. No prior AI experience is required—domain expertise matters most.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline or substantial industry experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on technical engineering experience; aerodynamics, circuit design, and mechanical engineering are valued.
• Experience creating technically rigorous problems via exams, competitions, licensure, or assessment programs.
• Professional-level English proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Author and evaluate advanced technical problems across Aerodynamics, Materials Science, CAD/Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Circuit Design, and related disciplines.
• Review AI-generated technical responses for correctness, engineering accuracy, completeness, and practical relevance.
• Apply engineering judgment to real-world design, analysis, troubleshooting, and failure scenarios as well as theoretical contexts.
• Analyze complex technical issues, identify ambiguities, and recommend clarifications to problem statements, assumptions, and conditions.
• Develop technically rigorous problems that test analytical reasoning, engineering principles, calculations, and design judgment.
• Provide structured written feedback and clear explanations to improve AI-generated technical reasoning.
• Collaborate remotely with technical experts and project participants to maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Document technical insights, identified weaknesses, and recommendations to support continuous improvement of AI models and problem sets.
