Job summary

Alkami Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineering leader to manage and grow a team of full‑stack and backend engineers across multiple product verticals. You will drive delivery, partner with product, and uphold high standards for architecture, reliability, and security.

You will mentor engineers, shape roadmaps, and champion code quality in a remote‑first environment across the U.S. with emphasis on collaboration, scalability, and impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong hands-on technical foundation.
• 2+ years in a technology leadership role with a track record of building and leading teams.
• Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Python, API development, event-driven systems, and Postgres.
• Strong system design and architecture skills; ability to communicate trade-offs clearly.
• Experience building backend services and APIs with REST APIs and microservice-style architectures.
• Leadership through code reviews, technical coaching, and collaboration.
• Strong written and verbal communication; translate product asks into clear plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of full-stack and backend engineers across product verticals.
• Run sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and planning rituals for clarity and focus.
• Partner with Product to shape the roadmap and define scope for quarterly planning.
• Drive delivery across DSSP, KYC, SSO, OMB tooling, API Platform, and integrations.
• Maintain reliability, scalability, and security; guide architecture decisions and migrations.
• Serve as engineering point of contact for escalated customer issues and triage with urgency.
