Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager, Verification and Validation to join our FACTS STATCOM team in Saratoga Springs, NY. This role leads the verification and validation of advanced control systems used in STATCOM and SVC applications, combining leadership, technical oversight, and lab ownership.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in real-time testing, HIL-based validation, and cross-functional collaboration with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 10 years in verification, validation, testing, or control systems in power applications.
• Minimum 5 years leading engineering teams and coordinating technical workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Lead operation and continuous improvement of the RTDS laboratory and testing processes.
• Manage and develop the STATCOM engineering team, including planning and performance management.
• Own verification and validation scope on projects, including deliverables and schedules.
• Plan and oversee control system, protection, and system-level testing with HIL validation.
