Job summary

Fingerprint, a globally remote company, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Identification Accuracy team—an interdisciplinary group of ML engineers, data scientists, analysts, and analytics engineers. You will drive roadmap, foster high performance, and advance accuracy of Fingerprint's flagship Identification API.

You will mentor diverse contributors, partner with product and API teams, and translate technical tradeoffs into business terms for leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in ML or data science in an agile, fast-paced environment.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, machine learning, or related technical discipline.
• Proven track record of leading teams that ship production ML systems from data pipelines to deployment.
• Experience building and developing high-performing multidisciplinary teams including engineers, data scientists and analysts.
• Strong communication skills translating model behavior and data quality issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Identification Accuracy team with multidisciplinary members.
• Own the team's roadmap in partnership with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive model accuracy by enabling the team to design, train, evaluate, and deploy ML models at scale.
• Build bridges across product, API, and analytics teams and communicate roadmap tradeoffs to executives.
