Job summary

HubSpot is seeking an Engineering Manager for the AI Marketing Solutions (AIMS) team within Marketing Technology. You will lead a small group of AI Engineers, set technical direction, and partner with Marketing and Engineering leaders to turn AI ideas into scalable production systems.

This role blends people leadership, technical strategy, and business impact, with a strong focus on delivering measurable outcomes while fostering a culture of learning and experimentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience directly managing engineering or AI teams.
• Strong AI/ML foundation with LLMs, APIs, and modern AI architectures.
• Ability to translate technical work into business outcomes.
• Excellent communication for executive and non-technical audiences.
• Proven track record delivering multiple initiatives.
• Collaborative, growth-oriented mindset with curiosity about AI tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of AI Engineers building AI-powered solutions that transform marketing workflows and improve business outcomes.
• Help define and execute HubSpot's AI strategy for Marketing, partnering with senior leaders to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact initiatives aligned with company goals.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of AI solutions—from ideation and experimentation through technical design, implementation, adoption, and impact measurement.
• Coach engineers in modern AI technologies and engineering practices, including LLMs, agentic systems, RAG, API integrations, and AI application architecture.
• Build scalable frameworks and engineering standards for rapid prototyping, responsible deployment, and long-term maintainability of AI solutions.
• Partner across Marketing, Product, Data, and Go-to-Market teams while translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for executive and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
