Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a remote-ready Engagement Manager to lead complex IT initiatives from Hanover, MD. You will oversee budgets, schedules, and scope while guiding multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-impact engagements.

Strong communication and risk-management skills are essential to maintain client satisfaction and profitability. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years in project management, and experience with agile practices and vendor contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English).
• Analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• People management skills.
• Experience in project management fundamentals or as an acting Scrum Master.
• Exposure to professional services agreements including the change management process.
• Exposure to IT Managed Services, project management classes, and other IT certifications.
• Demonstrated project risk analysis and mitigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engagements to ensure objectives are met, delivered on time, and within budget.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and profitability of engagements.
• Allocate resources and optimize team performance across engagements.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
• Build rapport with client stakeholders to align services with goals.
• Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed performance reports for senior management and clients.
• Lead engagement teams, mentor junior resources, and foster collaboration.
• Contribute to business development through upselling and cross-selling.
