Job summary

Bentley Systems is seeking an experienced Application Engineer for Energy, Utilities & Digital Grid Solutions. This role supports electric utilities, renewable generation, transmission and distribution, substations, and digital infrastructure workflows across Bentley’s portfolio.

The position is an individual contributor working in a remote/hybrid Americas region, collaborating with Account Managers, Solution Engineers, Product Management, and Professional Services to demonstrate business value

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years in electric utilities, power generation, renewable energy, or related field.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Experience working directly with users and engineering teams.
Ability to translate technical concepts for both engineering and business audiences.

Responsibilities

Support sales pursuits through technical discovery, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept activities.
Participate in customer-facing meetings to understand business challenges and technical requirements.
Translate industry challenges into solution-based recommendations.
Collaborate with Solution Engineers and Account Managers on strategic opportunities.
Deliver presentations to technical and executive audiences.
Capture feedback and communicate product requirements to Product Management.
