Job summary

Bentley Systems is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to act as a technical SME across its Energy, Utilities & Digital Grid portfolio. You will support electric utilities, renewable energy, transmission, substations, and digital workflows, helping customers modernize planning, design, construction, and operation while aligning Bentley solutions to business outcomes.

You will work with Account Managers, Solution Engineers, Product Management, and Professional Services to drive

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years in electric utilities, power generation, or related areas.
Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Familiarity with engineering data management and digital delivery.

Responsibilities

Understand business challenges and technical requirements in customer meetings.
Collaborate with Solution Engineers and Account Managers on opportunities.
Develop expertise across Bentley energy portfolio including grid design and renewables.
Guide users through evaluation, adoption, and technical workflows.
Create demonstration materials and reusable technical content.
Support field enablement through training and coaching.
Assist with strategic account planning and major engagements.
Bridge customer goals with Bentley technologies and best practices.
