Job summary

Bentley Systems is seeking an experienced Application Engineer for Energy, Utilities & Digital Grid Solutions to serve as a technical SME supporting a broad portfolio for electric utilities, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects. You’ll connect customer challenges with Bentley technologies and assist in demonstrations, workshops, and proof‑of‑concept activities.

The role collaborates with Account Managers, Solution Engineers, Product Management, and Professional Services to drive

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field or equivalent experience.
5+ years in electric utilities, power generation, renewable energy, or related field.
Experience communicating technical concepts to engineering and business audiences.

Responsibilities

Participate in customer meetings to understand challenges and requirements.
Collaborate with Solution Engineers and Account Managers on opportunities.
Develop expertise across Bentley’s energy portfolio, including electric networks and substations.
Advise users and project teams during evaluation and adoption activities.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity and asset outcomes.
Build demonstration materials and reusable technical content.
Support field enablement through training and coaching.
