The company is seeking an Energy Trader to join its Houston trading organization. The successful candidate will combine strong commodity-market knowledge with commercial judgment, quantitative analysis and disciplined risk management to identify and execute profitable trading opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute trading strategies across relevant energy markets
  • Analyze supply, demand, commodity flows, pricing relationships and other fundamental market drivers
  • Identify physical and/or financial trading opportunities
  • Manage trading positions and associated market risk
  • Monitor market developments and adjust positioning as conditions change
  • Work closely with analysts to develop actionable market views
  • Collaborate with operations, risk, finance and other commercial functions
  • Evaluate new products, markets and commercial opportunities
  • Maintain disciplined risk management across trading activity
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in energy, commodities or closely related trading markets
  • Strong understanding of commodity-market fundamentals and price formation
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving capability
  • Experience analyzing market data and translating research into commercial decisions
