Job summary

SOLV Energy in the United States is seeking a remote Energy Storage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead a single project, coordinating across engineering, scheduling, budgeting, and procurement. The role is fully remote, with interview discussions on location expectations.

The role partners with multiple departments to drive LNTPs, bid packages, risk mitigation, and cost forecasting, while supervising engineers and staff, and coordinating owner meetings for seamless execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of energy storage construction experience.
• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
• Field experience (5-8 years) as Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Leadership to assemble remote teams into a high-performing group.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and Bluebeam Revu.
• Knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Detail-oriented, self-starter with good people skills.
• Willingness to travel ~25%.
• 2+ years scheduling and estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Preconstruction Project Manager responsibilities.
• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Set up and maintain the CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages and evaluate bids.
• Write project procedures.
• Review plans for completeness and accuracy.
• Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and staff.
• Ensure procurement aligns with LNTP scope, budget, and schedules.
• Collaborate with BD, engineering, accounting, construction, and legal on contracts.
• Coordinate design constraints and long lead procurement items for LNTP.
• Define and create LNTPs.
• Research and understand project design requirements.
• Track changes impacting schedule/budget; report to Project Executive.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings.
• Support estimating reconciliation for each design iteration.
• Maintain timely reporting: cost forecasting and EAC.
• Manage project risk with mitigation plans.
• Build relationships with Owner, Engineers, Vendors, Subcontractors.
