Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC seeks an Energy Storage Engineer for a remote, 1-year contract. You will plan, design, and execute energy storage projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams and reporting to the onsite manager.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in solar/PV engineering or construction, plus knowledge of battery storage, power electronics, and relevant safety standards. Travel up to 25% may be required; strong project management and technical leadership are essential to

Qualifications

3+ years experience in Solar/PV engineering and/or construction.
Expertise in power electronics and battery storage design.
Familiarity with energy storage technologies (battery chemistries, power conversion, DC/DC).
Familiarity with safety standards (UL1973, UL9540/9540A, NFPA 855, NEC).
Familiarity with IEC 61215/61646/61730.

Responsibilities

Support design phase and engineer major components for energy storage projects.
Identify and resolve inconsistencies in engineering drawings and improve design quality.
Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts and manage project milestones.
Collaborate with project managers and suppliers to integrate major equipment.
Travel up to 25% for project-specific responsibilities.
