Job summary

Energy Drive Systems is seeking an Energy Solutions Engineer to identify, develop and deliver industrial energy efficiency opportunities across North America. You will assess customer systems, develop technical solutions and support projects from opportunity development through handover.

This customer-facing role requires a strong engineering background, commercial awareness and the ability to build trusted relationships with industrial clients. Remote work in North America is supported.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10+ years' experience within heavy industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of medium voltage motors, VFDs, pumps, fans and rotating equipment.
• Experience developing technical solutions for industrial applications.
• Experience with energy modelling, system performance analysis or equipment sizing.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently within a remote environment.
• Willingness to travel across North America.

Responsibilities

• Investigating energy efficiency opportunities through site visits and assessments.
• Evaluating electrical systems, motor applications and industrial processes.
• Developing energy models, performance calculations and feasibility studies.
• Designing solutions involving MV motors, VFDs, pumps, fans and control systems.
• Supporting the preparation of technical proposals and customer presentations.
• Working with commercial teams to develop opportunities and convert projects.
• Collaborating with Project Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure project delivery.
• Building long-term relationships with customer engineering teams as a trusted technical advisor.
• Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
